We have several exciting opportunities to join our team as a volunteer. From befrienders and youth group supporter workers, to fundraising and occasional helpers at events, Children In Touch relies on people like you giving their time.

Youth Groups

Have fun and support young people with Asperger Syndrome! Assist with social activities, sports, games and outings. There are three Youth Groups:

  • Saturdays 10am – 12pm. For 8-12 yr olds, at Wolvercote, Oxford.
  • Fridays 6:30pm – 8:30pm. For 13-16 yr olds, Wolvercote, Oxford.
  • Wednesdays 6:30pm – 9pm. For 16-21 yr olds, The Mish, St Clements, Oxford.

We understand you are not able to attend every week – contact us to discuss options.
Volunteers must be aged 18 and over, and for the Wednesday group aged 21 or over.

Adult Pub Social Group

Have a drink and chat at ‘Oxford Aspies’ pub group for adults with Asperger syndrome. Meets twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month, at a pub in Oxford Town Centre between 5:45pm – 7:30pm.

Befrienders

Be a buddy to a child with Autism! Befriend a child, young person or adult with Autism or Asperger syndrome and enjoy activities such as going to the cinema, shopping, walks, cafes or even just watching TV or playing games at home! Volunteers are needed for families across Oxfordshire.
